300kW/380Nm of grunt, but only 500mm tall x 400mm long x 200mm wide - Nissan’s new turbocharged three cylinder racing engine is small enough to be airline ‘carry-on’ luggage.

Nissan’s new DIG-T R 1.5-litre three-cylinder is the engine which will provide the power for Nismo-run ZEOD RC race cars at the Le Mans 24-hour (the same cars which will make history by completing one lap of each one-hour stint on zero-emissions all-electric power.
Revving to 7500rpm and producing 380Nm of torque, Nissan’s compact powerplant has a better power-to-weight ratio than the new turbocharged engines debuting this year in F1 Grand Prix racing.
