Ahead of its debut, it shares some salient details.

2018 Maserati Levante S Coming To Oz

If you are from the camp that thinks a Maserati trident has no business being propelled by petrol, good news: The Levante S will be arriving later this year, bringing with it petrol power for the first time in our market. The Levante is responsible for a 50% increase in sales figures this year alone, and there’s little doubt that having petrol power on offer will see those numbers push higher still.

Under the shapely snout of the Levante S lies a Ferrari-built 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6, capable of 316kW of power and 580Nm of torque. In comparison, the Levante S produces no less than 114kW more power, albeit with a 20Nm torque deficit compared to the Levante diesel. All-wheel drive is standard, along with an eight-speed ZF gearbox, and the Levante S will do the century sprint in just 5.2-seconds before rocketing on to 264km/h.

The Levante S will include some unique features owing to its more premium positioning, with 19-inch alloys, bi-modal exhaust system, as well as a performance braking system which throws in six-piston Brembo brakes. Further details of the Levante S will be revealed closer to launch, along with its list price.
