With an unveiling set for Geneva, Subaru’s popular crossover teases its new profile.

2017 Subaru XV Shows Some Skin

Ahead of the Geneva motor show in March, Subaru has decided to confirm the attendance of the all-new 2017 Subaru XV crossover. After a concept-car preview was shown to us at the 2016 Geneva show, the new XV is expected to retain its strong Impreza roots.

A teaser of the new car was released today, but style-wise, we should expect a radical departure from the current recipe. That means that the XV will likely come with plenty of plastic body cladding, skirts, off-road-y bumpers, and roof rails to emphasise the adventurous nature of the new car. It should also feature underbody protection, and some interior flourishes to distinguish the XV from the more pedestrian Impreza on which it’s based.

Subaru themselves say that the XV has become “a huge seller in Australia,” which makes this impending second generation a very big deal indeed. An to emphasise that, Subaru has launched a special website, with a little counter to mark the debut of the 2nd-generation XV, which you can visit here.
