Ahead of the Shanghai motorshow, Japanese luxury carmaker Lexus has teased a facelift of its popular NX compact SUV, which shows a more evolutionary update of its already striking design.
The image being bandied about by the marque shows off a revised, and more compact headlight design, sporting the new tri-light design sported by newer Lexus models. The separate ‘flick’ daytime running lights seem to remain as so, though the spindle-grille may see a thicker chrome surround.
Lexus says that we can expect “interior enhancements that add convenience and functionality.” This could suggest a new Remote Touch infotainment system, with some reports suggesting a larger screen may see its way into the new NX, too.
There aren’t many details floating about on the revised NX, so we’ll likely have to wait for the April 19th debut to learn more. The Lexus NX performed well (sales-wise) last year, though it continues to trail behind the European competition by some way. Maybe these updates will see it fare better this year.
