Highlighting the arrival of Toyota 2014 RAV4 SUV are two ‘Australian-firsts’ for the Japanese giant – ‘Reverse Traffic Alert’ and ‘Lane Departure Alert’. The debuting high-tech safety items, as well as ‘Automatic High Beam’ to make Toyota RAV4’s range-topping Cruiser model very impressively equipped.
RAV4 Cruiser also gains new 18-inch alloy wheels (replacing the 17-inch wheels previously fitted) and a premium 11-speaker JBL audio system with DAB+ digital radio.
In other high-tech news, for 2014 the entry-level GX model Toyota RAV4 gains a reversing camera – so that safety technology is now standard across the range.
As well, all 2014 model year Toyota RAV4s will feature a 6.1-inch colour display audio screen.
As part of the changes, for 2014, Toyota has jettisoned four slow-selling manual transmission models.
Launched just 12 months ago, the latest Toyota RAV4 is a hot-seller with sales running some 21.2 per-cent better than the previous generation.
