Here’s a question – are there any Spyker sports cars currently driving on Australian roads?
We ask that after hearing news from our spies in California that the Dutch sports car specialist - having survived its honourable and well-organized, but ultimately unsuccessful effort to save Saab - showed its latest vehicle, the B6 Venator Spyder, at Pebble Beach over the weekend and is taking it to Salon Privé in London next week.
“The Spyker B6 Venator Spyder Concept will make its European debut on 4 September at Salon Privé, the UK’s premier luxury automotive lifestyle event,” revealed Spyker CEO and designer Victor Muller.
Running an aluminium platform, carbon fibre body and powered by a mid-mounted 280kW V6 engine, the Spyker B6 Venator Spyder Concept is scheduled to go into production late next year ahead of sales launch in Europe, India, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
Spyker then plans to introduce the nicely-styled two-seater to North America in early 2015 and is talking about a price there around $US150,000.
