Subaru will add a high-riding ‘X’ variant to its 2013 Liberty sedan lineup.
Subaru Liberty 2.5X (continuously variable automatic transmission only) will be priced at $44,490 while the Liberty 3.6X (five-speed automatic transmission only) will be tagged at $55,990.
Both feature Subaru’s ‘EyeSight’ safety system and add a new grille, front bumper, chrome-type headlights, new 18-inch alloy wheels, enhanced interior and an extra 50mm in ride height.
Subaru Liberty 3.6X goes further with driver-select SI-Drive, some extra chrome, enhanced interior and unique gunmetal alloy wheels.
Subaru says the high-riding Liberty X will be in high demand not only by rural buyers but also city dwellers with ‘challenging’ driveways and anyone who appreciates the easier entry/exit provided traditionally by SUVs.
