Ahead of local launch next summer, Nissan’s vital all-new Pulsar has debuted at China’s Beijing Motor Show.
The Australian Pulsar is our version of Nissan’s all-new global small sedan – the model shown in Beijing was the Chinese market ‘Sylphy’.
Nissan says the all-new Pulsar will initially launch as a sedan and hatchback versions will follow.
The Japanese giant claims the all-new design will take the small sedan/hatchback segment “one class above” with improved interior space, performance, fuel-efficiency, refinement and ‘smart’ technology.
Styling certainly gets a major boost over the conservative looks of the current Tiida – the newcomer has a sporty, low stance, strong sculpturing, modern headlights with LED DRLs and DRL tail-lights.
Inside Nissan says the all-new Pulsar will deliver a spacious cabin and the largest boot in the segment.
Power comes from a new long-stroke 1.8-litre petrol engine driving through the next generation of Nissan’s X-TRONIC CVT (continuously variable transmission).
