The 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe features substantial styling changes and more performance from the 3.8-litre V6 and turbocharged 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engines.

On the outside the latest Hyundai Genesis runs a more aggressive look thanks to a completely new front-end (fascia, grille, headlights, fog lights and bonnet) plus new 18-inch and 19-inch alloy wheels and new LED tail-lights.

Hyundai’’s 3.8-litre V6 gains direct injection to boost output to 260kW/400Nm while the 2.0-litre four-cylinder adopts a twin-scroll turbocharger and larger intercooler to deliver 204kW/373Nm. Drive is via Hyundai’s own eight-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters.

The Hyundai Genesis coupe rides on MacPherson strut front suspension and a five-link rear. Pleasingly for enthusiasts, it’s rear-wheel-drive and the chassis is nicely balanced with 55:45 front-rear weight distribution for the 2.0-litre model and 56:44 for the V6.

And there are sporty R-Spec and Track models with Brembo brakes, firmer sports springs/dampers and extra camber adjustment for the front-end.
