Honda is claiming the title of ‘Australia’s Most Affordable Hybrid’ with this month’s launch of the all-new Honda Jazz Hybrid, starting at $22,990 (that’s $1,000 less than the entry-level Toyota Prius).
Powered by Honda’s 1.3-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and IMA hybrid system, the Honda Jazz Hybrid delivers 72kW of power at 5800rpm and peak torque of 167Nm from 1000rpm. Combined cycle fuel economy is rated at 4.5l/100kms (3.9l/100kms for the Prius).
Externally, the hybrid version of the Honda Jazz is identified by its chrome-blue front grille and headlight surrounds and clear red LED tail-lights.
Inside is the hallmark Honda Jazz space, ‘magic’ seats and a handy 722-litres of cargo space.
Peace-of-mind for Honda Jazz Hybrid buyers comes with an eight-year warranty for the IMA battery.
“The Jazz Hybrid is another example of Honda’s commitment to providing fuel efficient engines for fun, stylish and practical cars,” revealed Honda Australia chief Stephen Collins.
