Ahead of local launch next year, Hyundai will take the covers off its all-new i30 small car range at next months’ Frankfurt Motor Show.
Previewing that unveiling, the Korean company has released this first rendering.
Hyundai says the all-new i30 - designed at the company’s European styling studios in Russelsheim, Germany – is a further chapter in its ‘fluidic sculpture’ design ethos which kicked-off with the ix-onic concept car shown at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.
At the front, Hyundai has maintained, but evolved its hallmark hexagonal grille.
“The hexagonal appearance is unique to Hyundai, with the jewel-like front headlamps which flank the grille adding a strong personality to the vehicle, as well as a sense of refinement and luxury,” revealed Thoms Burke, Chief Designer at Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Centre.
Company insiders have told Car Showroom the all-new i30 will be larger than the current model to provide differentiation from the i20 and Accent models.
