Ahead of its global debut in October at the Paris Motor Show, Peugeot Australia has confirmed the elegant 508 model will launched locally mid next year.
A glamour in the looks department, the 508 replaces the 407 model and will be available in both sedan and touring (wagon) derivatives.
Power will come from a range of HDI turbo-diesel engines, but at this stage the all-wheel-drive Hybrid 4 model is not confirmed for local sale.
The 508 is crucial for Peugeot's success in the competitive European large (Australian mid-size) market and so all engineS comply with the stringent EURO 5 emissions standards
High-tech and luxuriously appointed, the 508 is another major advance for the resurgent French brand.
While local specifications and pricing have not been finalized, Peugeot Australia says to expect the sedan to be launched mid next year with the wagon version to follow.
