More safety and extra equipment are two customer-friendly highlights of Mitsubishi’s revised 2011 model year Pajero SUV lineup.
All models now feature side and curtain airbags and a reverse parking sensor.
In addition, mid-range GLS models also gain a security blind for the cargo area.
Next-up the pecking order, VRX models now shape-up as real value-for-money stars with the addition of a 12-speaker Rockford Acoustic Design audio system, automatic dusk-sensing HID headlights with auto-leveling and washers, rain-sensing wipers, and the rear cargo blind.
Mitsubishi says the 2011 model year upgrades for Pajero do not include any styling or mechanical changes. Engines remain the 184kW/329Nm, 3.8-litre, V6 petrol or the 147kW/441Nm, 3.2-litre turbo-diesel.
Prices for the range-topping Mitsubishi Pajero Exceed models have not changed ($74,290 for the V6 petrol or $76,790 for the diesel), however there have been slight price increases across other models. The full 2011 Mitsubishi Pajero lineup is:
