This is the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee due for launch next year.
The iconic American 4x4 gets a new, softer yet still athletic look and has already commenced production at the Jefferson plant in Detroit.
Jeep’s stylish newcomer boasts a towing capacity of 3.3 tonnes and will be available with a choice of three all-wheel-drive systems as well as the new Jeep Quadra-Lift Air Suspension and Selec-Terrain.
The company says an all-new independent suspension system and stiffer bodyshell will deliver significantly enhanced driving dynamics.
Power comes from Chrysler’s all-new 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 with fuel economy of 10.2l/100kms and a range between refills of more than 800kms.
Inside, the Jeep stylists have provided a more up-market interior with quality materials and a softer look/feel.
The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee will be launched locally in January 2011 when full Australian specifications and pricing will be revealed.
