New colours, new wheels and extra safety are the highlights of Honda's facelifted 2010 Civic Sedan lineup.
The good news is pricing remains unchanged (starting from $22,990) and the Civic Hybrid has actually decreased - now down to $34,490.
Curtain airbags have been added to the entry VTi model. This means all Civic sedans now come standard with dual front, side and curtain airbags.
Honda uses a complex dual-stage, dual-threshold deployment system for its airbags which optimizes airbag deployment according to the severity of impact - this minimizes injuries caused by the actual airbags.
New ten-spoke 16-inch wheels for the VTi-L model look good and the two new colours are Dyno Blue (first time for Australia) and Habenero Red.
Drivetrains have not changed - VTi and VTi-L models feature Honda's 1.8-litre four cylinder while the Sport model keeps its 2.0-litre powerplant. The hybrid is a 1.3-litre petrol engine with Honda's Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system.
